do u have to b rich?
You get all types at all hotels. You%26#39;ll find people that save all year long for their weekend in Vegas. They stay at Bellagio, eat in the best restaurants, wear fancy clothes, go from casino to casino in a limo. And then after the weekend is over they go back to their trailer and their jobs at Wal Mart.
And you will find multimillionaires playing at the $5 table at Imperial Palace because they have been coming there for decades and like the host they have there.
You%26#39;ll find the nicest rich people and the nicest poor people. As well as mean, rich or poor. Income doesn%26#39;t mean class in all cases.
Bellagio because of the $300 a night rates will attract some snobs. It will also attract some nice people too.
Where to stay is entirely up to you.

Vegas, for me anyway, is all about the experience. If you think you want to stay at Bellagio, then definatley stay there. I hear its very nice. If someone is a snob to you there it probably means they are part of the aformentioned crowd who saved all year to stay for one weekend.
With that said, my trailer is a very nice doublewide and my job as a greeter at Walmart is very satisfying.
Matt
Well said like allways VM.
sqlight, if you want to spend your money at Bellagio then hold your head up and do it. You have the right to be there as well as any other paying guest. Have fun and get the most from your Vegas experience! Maybe there are other hotels with an atmosphere that suits your age better, I would not know. Bottom line is your trip will be as good as you make it.
sqlight,
You%26#39;ve really got the spectrum here. Bellagio is the fanciest, most expensive pre-Wynn hotel in Vegas. Hard Rock might as well be a giant club. At 29 you%26#39;re on the edge of too old for the place in my opinion. The first time I went there I was 31. I was young enough to visit, but too old to spend a vacation there. It%26#39;s also not on the Strip, which is inconvenient. NYNY is more of a middle of the road place. It%26#39;s a cool casino with a wide variety of people in it.
If Bellagio is in your comfort zone room rate wise, go for it. Just keep in mind that everything in Bellagio is on that cost scale. Premium service and amenities at a premium price. It%26#39;s your decision whether it%26#39;s worth it to you. If you want a lower key version of Bellagio at less cost, you might try Mirage.
Also, please keep in mind that the level of service you will receive in any major Strip hotel (I exclude Boardwalk, Casino Royale, O%26#39;Shea%26#39;s and the like) will greatly exceed the level of service for a like priced hotel anywhere else in the US.
Bigalbr,
Too old is a state of mind. Most of the music played at the HRH is by singers 30 or older.
sqlight,
I would suggest looking at Mandalay Bay. For me it has the best mix of young crowd with class.
Folks I dont know why hotel choosing is so important to all of you?! I just go there to sleep for a few hours - thats it. I can visit Bellagio and the Venetian all day without paying the 300 bucks a night. I just leave to go to bed somewhere else. If you can safe 200 bucks a night (and you can sleep pretty well for 100,-) you can have all day MAXIMUM fun with that money-leftover.
So my advice: sleep cheap, stay awake as expensive as possible!
Have fun
i am with big tex m.b. for your age,
belliago atmosphere is laid back- sleepy
If you prefer class go Bellagio, Hard Rock more cons than pros if it%26#39;s not impressive on the outside watch out for inside.I%26#39;ve stayed at fab hotels on strip for budget prices you just have to do your research
bellagio is very nice but a little boring and a little snotty, if I was 29 I would go somewhere else. You mentioned NYNY, a lot of people whine about NYNY but it is one of the best hotels on the strip for young party atmoshere. The only problem is the lack of a good pool. Hard Rock is great but it is not on the strip, I would be on the strip for the first trip. Mandalay Bay as mentioned is terrific for yound people.
SGLight,I think unless you travel first class in Europe, any Vegas hotel will be an improvement! The Bellagio seemed lovely and it would be worth staying there just for the breakfast buffet, but Caesar%26#39;s %26amp; Monte Carlo both looked pretty good to me too, and the players in MC seemed to be having the most fun. I stayed at the Paris which I would also recommend. There is so much going on everywhere and you%26#39;ll want to see so much that you probably won%26#39;t spend so much time in your own hotel on your first visit anyway!
