Getting to Vegas tomorrow afternoon and from what I have been reading it seems like it is going to be one of the most packed weeks in Vegas this year.. expos, nascar, march madness, spring break, st patty%26#39;s day..
Is this a good or a bad thing? How will everything be effected (besides for longer lines at the clubs)? Are the minimums going to be sky high with no drink waitresses anywhere? I%26#39;ve been to Vegas before but never during such a busy week.
Will next week be chaos?
Jezo,
We know it%26#39;s going to be busy. Employees will be working either 12 hour shifts, or a 6th day. There will be lines, but we%26#39;re going to keep them moving as quickly as possible. You will be able to get a drink or 12. Tip your waitress an extra dollar and see how fast she gets back to you. She might even bring you two drinks to keep you extra happy. It%26#39;s true in Vegas as everywhere else, ';The more, the Merrier';

VM-
Along the lines of your response, does that mean the casinos will employ more folks to work the tables? Or, will it be so busy that it could be difficult to get on some tables at times? We%26#39;re not flush with $$, but we don%26#39;t mind higher table limits- we just want to get a table!!
Also, we%26#39;re staying at the Rio (after many stays directly on the strip)- will we be better off simply walking to the strip (for the sake of time and effort), or does that shuttle to Harrah%26#39;s do the trick?
Hoo boy. Maximum Vegas next week! Actually, Maximum Vegas in only a few more hours.
Can%26#39;t wait!
Kid,
The Shuttle leaves every 15 minutes according to the Harrah%26#39;s operator I spoke with. The Rio is known for having their minimums at the highest level they can and still keep their tables full. I was there for Superbowl Sunday a few years ago and nothing was under $25. Granted, that is the busiest day of the year, but March Madness comes close to that level. Across the street at the Gold Coast you will find lower minimum tables. Or take the shuttle to Harrah%26#39;s and go next door to Imperial Palace or Casino Royale for low limit gaming.

Joe-
I appreciate the feedback. Like I said, we%26#39;re just looking for tables, limits be darned. As long as we can contribute to the %26#39;help build casinos%26#39; fund by giving our fair share, we%26#39;ll consider the trip to be a success. If we can take back more than we brought, all the better :-)
Thanks again.
Kid,
Good attitude, mine is I work for money and play for fun. My fun lasts longer at $5 a hand then at $25. To each his own. I hope you don%26#39;t donate so much they feel the need to have a plaque made in your honor. ';This new wing of our hotel was built with the losses of the ChicagoKid April 2005';

I feel soryy fo you going to Vegas during March madness. I hate Vegas when it is crowded, and even worse Spring Break. I can tell you the girls that I know at the strip clubs hate Spring Break, necasue it brings all the college guys into town who are cheapskates and way too many hormones and too little class
