wedding dress

Hi im just wondering how do most people from the uk get there wedding dresses to vegas.

When we went to vegas to get married I just carried my dress on the plane and they hung it in one of the closets for me. But our flight was from the states... Don%26#39;t know if that makes a difference. I would suggest you contact the airline to see if they would do that for you

One thing I did learn was that when you get there it will be wrinkled. I tried to iron it myself to no avail. I contacted the front desk and they sugested one of the local bridle shops to press it. It was the best $25 I spent. That was 9 years ago so I don%26#39;t know how much it would cost now

Congradulations on your upcoming wedding and I hope yours goes as smoothly and stress free as ours It was just wonderful.

I%26#39;m glad you mentioned this. I%26#39;m only going from NY to Vegas, but that%26#39;s still a 4-5 hour flight. I%26#39;m going to carry my dress on board and ask to hang in closet as suggested. I will also check it out when I arrive to see how wrinkled and if it%26#39;s bad I%26#39;ll check with bridal shop to have ironed...great suggestions, thanks!

Call ahead to the airline and ask how large of an item you can carry on to be put in the hanging closet. Explain your situation. If you are flying a widebody jet from UK, there should be no problem whatsoever. But, more than likely, you will have a smaller jet from NY to LV. Check your tickets for the type of equipment you will be flying. You may have a problem if you fly a standard BA 737. You could consider shipping it of course. Might be pricey but at least it would be insured and you wouldn%26#39;t have to lug it around several airports.

I%26#39;m getting married in LV in Sept. I%26#39;m going to call the airline and see if they can hang it somewhere but, I%26#39;m afraid I%26#39;ll be on a charter and there will be no room....it can%26#39;t hurt to ask. I want to keep it where I can see it...I%26#39;d be too stressed to ship it. If I have to, I%26#39;ll bring it in my carry on (it%26#39;s not poofy) and have it pressed at a bridal shop as soon as I arrive. :P

ok guys thanx alot
