Just got back on Wednesday

Well I just got back from Vegas on Wednesday and it was great. It was my first time going to Vegas and it was a blast. The weather was beautiful, nothing like being outside in shorts when its 80 degrees and sunny, especially when it was in the low teens back home, I am from Minnesota.

I didn%26#39;t really win much money but then again not too many people do. Went all along the strip and saw all of the hotels. TV and pictures doesn%26#39;t do Vegas any justice. I couldn%26#39;t believe how massive everything was. I stayed at the Westward Ho, obviously not the greatest of hotels but I knew that going into the trip so I didn%26#39;t expect much. I was however pleasantly surprised, it wasn%26#39;t as big of a dump as I thought it was going to be but certainly not the greatest. Plus I was only in my room for maybe 8 hours in three days so it didn%26#39;t really matter to me and it was on the strip so that was cool. Staying there just gave me extra money to lose at the casinos.

I did end up playing roulette for the first time and that was pretty cool ended up winning a little bit on that. I am a poor college student so it%26#39;s not like I can risk a ton of money anyways. I can%26#39;t wait to go back again. If anyone has any suggestions on the best time to go during the summer months that would be greatly appreciated. I know its hot and stuff but I have also heard that it is usually cheaper during the summer. Well I am outta here, any suggestions would be great Thanks.

Just got back on Wednesday

Jonathan,

Any time from mid-June through mid-September is very hot and unless its a holiday weekend, the prices should be pretty good. Obviously Sunday-Thursday is cheaper than Fri-Sat at any time, so keep that in mind for your planning.

Now that you%26#39;ve stayed on and experienced the Strip. Next trip look at the prices at the Orleans and compare them to the Ho. You%26#39;ll get a room that is 10 times nicer at about the same price. You can do all your gambling there, or take the Shuttle to the Strip for a little more excitement.

Vegasman is right. The orleans is perfect for a limited budget on your second trip.
