Southwest had an internet fare one way

from chgo to LV for $79.00

It was there last week, i look today.... ITS GONE!

Now RT is gonna cost me $208.00 instead of $160.00.

I know what you mean pjdc, I piddled around and missed a RT flight on Delta from Dulles (DC) to McCarren for $179.00 by one day!!! Now I%26#39;m paying $210.00 on AWA. Not bad I guess but at least its non-stop.

Also I talked to my buddy who%26#39;s a Capt for a ';major'; airlind and his advise is book ASAP !!! The airlines are getiing ready for huge fuel cost increases.

I beleive the term ';You Snooze, You lose'; is appropriate here. Better book now before you have to pay $252.

It%26#39;s always a gamble to see if that rate will go down.

What day of the week last week did you see that deal? Was it a mon. tues. or wed.? When I was booking my trip, prices were going up and down all the time. But, in general, they seemed to be higher towards and during the weekends.

If I were you, I would wait until the beginning of next week and check again. Although, $208 RT is still pretty reasonable. I can%26#39;t ever get anything out of Detroit that is less that $220 or so.

Southwest runs specials on Thursdays and Sundays - (sorta their Blue Light Special) They only last a day or two -

Just like Delta - Delta will run a special - but it may only be available for an jor or two - that%26#39;s how I flew from Denver to Orlando for $99 r/t.

If they have a special grab it - because it may be gone in a matter of minutes.

I%26#39;m already checking travelocity.com daily for flights for my tentative August trip. Airline prices jump around as much as Vegas hotel rates, especially if you can choose from more than one airport, so when you see the right price for the right flights these days, you DO have to jump on it in a hurry.

You all can cry me a river. I live in Saint Paul where Northworst Airlines has us locked up tighter than the hard count room at Caesar%26#39;s. Wanna go anywhere - save your money....you will need it.

No discount carriers can make it here because when the come, Northwest just matches their fares to anywhere the discount carrier goes (and the NW will be nonstop) so the discount carrier eventually leaves.

call southwest directly...i got a deal from them that was not listed online, flying out of Midway.

I would get on their mailing list, too. When are you flying out? There could be a chance it goes on sale again.

I know exactly what you mean Orr. I can%26#39;t find anything cheaper than AW at 334 a pop, after hearing everyone talk about finding 99 dollar round trip rates. I hate Northwest.
