Upgrade to Suite secrets?

We are going to Vegas in June for our 10 anniversary (midweek) we are staying at the Luxor. Any tricks or things to do to get an upgrade to a spa suite. We already have rooms booked, just wondering... any advice would be appreciated.

Upgrade to Suite secrets?

Prioroty is given to those who book directly with the hotel. A lot of people ask why - because we are not having to pay commission to anyone for your stay -

Being June, occupancy is low anyway and mid-week, well you picked the best time to have a chance.

When you arrive, be nice, tell them it%26#39;s your anniversary. In fact, give them a heads up before you arrive - have them note in your reservation it%26#39;s your 10th anniversary (but don%26#39;t ask for the upgrade at that time) - you will probably have no problem.

thanks hotel manager... however we did not book directly through Luxor so I am sure that probably throws a wrench into that plan huh? I hear the spa suites are pretty cool there... hopefully if I ask nice enough they would understand. Do you recommend calling the Luxor and having them put in the notes it is our anniversary?

I would still have them put it in their notes - it%26#39;s low season, and you still have a good chance

thanks Hotel Manager... you da man!

The spa suites are nice and usually go for ( dependin on the suite) for an extra 100 if it is high seaon or a weekend but in times I have stayed in them for $50 extara a night and well worth the money though the spa itself is not the best part,

Hi Krampuppy,

I went to the Luxor for my honeymoon in September and we asked for an upgrade with it being a special occasion. As we%26#39;d also booked through an agent (we dont know if thats the real reason I am just guessing so), they said they could upgrade us for a small charge. We paid extra for the Spa Suite (lovely!) and it was much cheaper upgrading on check in than pre-booking the suite.

So, if they say no to a freebie, you could always ask if they have any special rates for anniversaries. We paid about $150 to upgrade from a standard room to the Spa room on check in for 7 nights.

Good Luck and the Luxor is lovely !
