We will be going to Vegas in July. Booked the Flamingo for 5 days. Is there a rental car company at the hotel or is it better to get a rental at the airport ?? First time to Vegas and I can%26#39;t wait to get there!!!! Have learned so much from this forum.
Car rentals at Hotels
The advantage of picking up and dropping off your car at the airport is you can drive to and from your hotel. If you plan to have a car for the whole trip, as opposed to just renting for a day to go to Hoover Dam or something, you might as well just pick it up when you arrive at the airport. You will save the cost of a shuttle or taxi from the airport.
I check the various rental car company web sites and book direct. They will also list locations, so you can find out which companies have locations at or near your hotel and you can compare the rates of renting from the airport or a hotel.
I do reccomend travelers to Vegas rent a car if possible. If your goal is to see as many casinos and sites as possible a car gives you much more mobility and flexibility. All the casinos have free self parking or valet parking (for the cost of a tip). If you study a map for a few minutes you can find streets that parallel the Strip, so you can avoid the Strip traffic congestion.
