To: Vegasdummy - Rooms Available!

How bad do you and your money HAVE to go to LV this particular week? I%26#39;m asking because there are rooms available at Orleans from 17th-19th at $179/night, which is about $100/night more than these rooms typically cost. (Go to site below and click ';rate calendar';). Orleans is a very nice casino/hotel about 1/2 mile off-strip.

How about Reno instead? You can get rooms (nice ones) at the Reno Hilton for 17th-19th for $69, $99 and $99. (See rate calendar below). Take side trips to Lake Tahoe during the day.

Good luck and as everyone else has mentioned DO NOT show up in LV without a reservation.

sorry, orleans is SOLD OUT. if you just look at their rate calendar, it _looks_ good, but if you actually try to reserve a room you get ';There are no rooms for the selected arrival and departure dates.';

I would recommend what stauchsteve basically says: look elsewhere.

Sorry about that, I guess Orleans should update their rate calendar. I would not rec. ANYBODY stay at ';New'; Frontier. BTW, what exactly IS new about that dump? Did the casino workers finally go off strike?And the MC for about $600/night for a room you can usually get for less than $100? Uhh, no thanks.

She has been told, time she learned. Let her go without reservations and see what happens.

';desperate enough to take a chance on sleeping in their car';

Actually I WOULD sleep in the car if ';New'; Frontier was the only hotel available under $200 and Monte Carlo costs $600/night.

Maybe 2 college girls won%26#39;t have such a hard time as you think finding a warm place to sleep in Vegas.

Hey Smoke,

All you have to do is check Hotels.com, expedia or any of those sites. If rooms are available at reasonable rates I don%26#39;t think it would be as big a problem to go without a reservation and get a room when you arrive. Of course some people fly in and don%26#39;t rent a car. How would you suggest they get around to check out their options? Even with a car I think it would be a hassle to drive around, wait in check in lines to see what is available, then if you want to compare prices you have to remember what price you were quoted where, go back and hope the rate you were quoted is still available.

However, if you go on the hotel reservation sites and find room rates Over $200, (like now during spring break) at the budget casinos and $400 on up at the nicer places, what makes you think you could walk in without a reservation and get a decent price? The only reason rates are so high is because everybody is pretty well sold out and there aren%26#39;t that many rooms left.
