Stratosphere just opened a new thrill ride called ';INSANITY';

I think if you are seeking thrill rides - the Stratosphere is the place to go. Other hotels have roller coasters - but Strat has 4 thrill rides at the top of thier space needle.

Sahara, Circus Circus and Stratosphere offer all day wrist bands. This will save you LOTS of money if you or your kids want to ride over and over and over again.

VHM - not open yet. Well maybe Insanity is open this weekend. We missed it by a few days, supposedly.

Sweetp - Yes, Insanity is open. It dangles you out over the stripand spins at 45 mph. Cost - $8.00 for your first ride, $4.00 for each re-ride. Circus-Circus is not thrill rides, they are kiddie rides. NYNY and the others are roller coasters. Strat offers Insanity - the Coaster that runs around the top of the Strat. The rocket chair that shoots up the the tower at the top of the space needle and then tha mini-roller coaster thing that dangles you out over the strip (not sure of the name. But yes Insanity is now open.

You might consider a run over to Prim on the CA/NV border. Buffalo Bill%26#39;s Casino has Desperado which at the time of it%26#39;s construstion was the world%26#39;s tallest, fastest coaster. They also have a neat interactive log flume ride called adventure canyon. You can also see the car Bonnie and Clyde were in when they were killed.

How long is the drive from LV strip to the Desperado? Now that we are renting a car perhaps we%26#39;ll go.... I was reading about it %26amp; it looks great!

It%26#39;s about 30 miles. Exit 1 on the 15 south. There%26#39;s 3 casinos %26amp; an outlet mall out there too. Don%26#39;t go on a Sunday, the traffic is terrible.
