Hi All -
Okay, so I am trying to narrow down my selection for a room/suite when I am in Vegas from April 7-11, 2005. Here is what I have come up with so far:
MGM GRAND - I%26#39;ve stayed in a Celebrity Spa Suite twice at MGM Grand. It was nice, however I did not think it was anything spectacular. I can go there as a last resort, however I am looking for a room that takes my girlfriend%26#39;s (and hopefully fiancee after this visit) breathe away.
VENETIAN - I%26#39;ve gambled at the Venetian and it is a beatiful property, however I don%26#39;t see much there to do for people in their 30%26#39;s, other than shopping. The rooms look beautiful, however, they do not appear to have the one thing that I require in the room: a hot tub that fits two people comfortably.
LUXOR - At my last visit I took a poker lesson at Luxor. I wasn%26#39;t that impressed by the casino and the buffet, however I must be in the minority, as the place was crowded. My girlfriend is also big on pool quality and theming. From what I saw on their web site and in person, the pool area appears to be more concrete than anything else.
TREASURE ISLAND - I like the theming, bar scene, and pool area of TI, however do they have rooms with a two person hot tub in the room? I couldn%26#39;t tell on their web site.
MANDALAY BAY - In my opinion, I believe that Mandalay Bay has one of the best pool complexes in Vegas. As for the rooms, do they have anything with a two person hot tub in the room? It appears that The Hotel is sold out for part of this weekend.
MONTE CARLO - I have a mixed opinion regarding this property. I have walked past it many of times, however, I have never gone in. The Spa Suite from the website looks beautiful, however, I am concerned about the comments from this sites regarding noise and other negative comments. Is there a couch in this room as well? Are there other rooms/suites that I can book that are an upgrade from the Spa Suite?
HELP!!!! Any suggestions would be appreciated, as I would like to book my room ASAP! To review, this is what I am looking for:
* A room with a hot tub that fit two people easily
* Decent pool area
Thanks again!
Monte Carlo or Mandalay Bay? Help me narrow down my choices!
Your title heading you only wanted us to pass our oppinions on 2. now it would seem its all vegas. Of the 2 i would pick the Mandaly Bay. Glad I%26#39;m not the hotel manager. You look a picky coustmer
My advise is to have one custom built
Monte Carlo or Mandalay Bay? Help me narrow down my choices!
If you are looking to save money, go to the MC. If money is no object, or the prices are close, go to Mandalay. I think you actually boiled it down yourself with your review anyway..lol
WOW that is quite the post/question/book! :)...we%26#39;re going to Vegas this month and we are staying at the Monte Carlo, If your looking to ';pop the question'; it looks like a very romantic resort, We are very excited to go....! I%26#39;ve seen plenty of GREAT posts about the Monte Carlo, They have comented on the nice size of the hotel/Casino, the food is good, pool is nice and you will not get a better location!..Just my opinion, Good luck!
Hi Mickey,
Wow, what a post. If I had to pick one of the several hotels, I would say Mandalay Bay. When I stayed there I enjoyed my stay and had a great time at the pools and the spa.
Monte Carlo, is my second cjoice as I think the pools are nice and it%26#39;s somewhat smaller than most casinos.
Hope this helps.

I thought Mandalay Bay was huge. Too big, in my opinion. Last week, the pools were already crowded. I don%26#39;t know about your budget, but restaurant prices were out-of sight. I loved Monte Carlo, but it may not be exciting enough for you. Wonderful brew pub though. Nice atmosphere.
Last visit was 20th anniversary. We stayed at Mandalay Bay. We didn%26#39;t have a hot tub but the room was great and the tub was huge. The pool was awesome. A very romantic trip. Good Luck and have a Great Time!
The answer to your question is:
THEHotel at MB. You get the best of both worlds. Huge 2 room suite, huge 2 person tub, free use of pools at MB
THEHotel is not too big and is less than a 1 minute indoor walk to MB.
You can%26#39;t go wrong!
As I was leaving, I heard a man talking on his cell phone about The Hotel and he was raving about how beautiful and BIG the rooms were. He was really happy.
Bump
Thanks to all that responded so far. I will try to get something at THE Hotel, however Monte Carlo and Mandalay Bay will get consideration as alternates as well!
Thanks Again!
