Looktours Bus trip

About a week ago Sherry made a post about a bus trip to the Grand Canyon. Well, I was going to rent a car but now we%26#39;re thinking about taking the bus. My biggest concern is leg room. I%26#39;m 6%26#39;4'; and not looking forward to being squished for 14 hours. I have other concerns but that%26#39;s the big one.

Anyone been on Looktours?

Why don%26#39;t you email looktours and ask them. I emailed them a few questions of my own before making my reservations and they responded right away.

Looktours Bus trip

Hello,

I used Looktours to make a plane trip to the grand canyon. This included a 2,5 hour trip with a bus discovering the Grand Canyon.

I%26#39;m glad i chose the plane trip because the bus trip to the grand canyon is about 5,5 hours each way. Being 11 hours in total. The flight trip is only 50 min. each way.

So when you take the bus tour to the grand canyon after sitting in a bus for 5,5 hours there is a bus tour in to the grand canyon of 2,5 hours also. The same tour people get who fly to the grand canyon. It costs more to do the plane trip, but you sure do save a lot of time. Pickup time at my hotel (circus circus was about 6 am in the morning and i got back at 1 30 pm). This would be around 9pm if you would only go by bus.

greetz,

Yves

Yves,

Hi! I am booking this trip that you went on for my stay in August, was wondering if you could tell me first hand how worthwhile the coach trip at the canyon was? Did you get some breathtaking viewpoints?

the reason i ask is that we are weighing up whether or not to pay the additional $100 for a helivopter tour over the canyon rather than the bus tour once we arrive!

Much appreciated!

Suzw, I called and asked but they couldn%26#39;t tell me much. Just that there is more room than an airline.

If anyone who was on the bus could tell me about leg room I would really appreciate it.

hi Gregor,

I havne%26#39;t been on the tour yet, but agree with Suz%26#39;s suggestion to email looktours; or you can phone their 800 number. I would imagine their buses are probably the standard tour buses, which have decent legroom but not amazing. I am always comfortable in them but then, you are a whole foot taller than me.... Unless you really need to watch the budget, the bus may not be for you. You don%26#39;t want to be so grumpy by the time you get to the canyon that you can%26#39;t enjoy it. However, I do understand that there are at least 3 stops on the way there, so you can get out %26amp; stretch your legs. Also, unless the bus driver is a real stickler, if you sit on the aisle you could stretch your legs out into the aisle during the ride.

hope that helps even a little :)

When will you be in Vegas? When I get back I%26#39;ll post how the tour was; not sure if you%26#39;ll be gone already (we return April 6)

Thanks Sherry, I%26#39;ll watch for your post. We don%26#39;t leave till April 18th.
