could someone suggest a nice restaurant or buffet to eat at downtown. Looking for good quality food but does not have to be gourmet.
good food downtown
I myself enjoy Tony Roma%26#39;s downtown - I%26#39;m sure others have their opinions as well.
good food downtown
Downtown in Four Queens-eat at Hugo%26#39;s Cellar. Great atmosphere and fabulous food with salad made right at the table. We never miss Hugo%26#39;s when visiting-you won%26#39;t be dissapointed! Have fun!
Tony Roma%26#39;s is one of our favorite places downtown. We also like the ';Great Moments'; room at Las Vegas Club. Excellent food, nice atmosphere, service is excellent - to us, the decor makes you feel like it%26#39;s the 50%26#39;s and you almost expect Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra to walk in the door! Hard to explain, but you may get the idea of what I%26#39;m trying to say. (Hopefully!)
Just as Vegas Hotel Mgr said - others will have their opinions also, the above is just our opinion!
LOVE Tony Roma%26#39;s, VHM. Always make it a point to eat there at least once during our stay. Their onion loaf is to die for!
Service is always good. True story......one year I had one too many glasses of wine and I gave the waiter 2-$20%26#39;s and a $100 bill instead of 3-$20%26#39;s. I wasn%26#39;t drunk or anything. ;-)
Anyway, he actually brought the $100 bill BACK to me and told me I had made a mistake. Needless to say I rewarded him big time! Hubby had to carry me out, but that%26#39;s another thread!
Center Stage was ok. Never been to Hugo%26#39;s, but maybe this trip.
I love their bread pudding too.
That cracks me up as I was reading a review on ratelasvegas.com on the Nugget and some guy said he liked the nugget, but advised do NOT eat the bread pudding at the buffet.
He said he had to RUN to the bathroom and used ALL the toilet paper in the room! ROFL
My hubby wanted to know how HE knew it was the bread pudding that made him sick. Is that ALL he ate....plate after plate of bread pudding. LOL
IMO the Nugget buffet is very, very good.
Best buffet downtown is at Main Street Station. Located on Main Street (Hence the name) 2 blocks North of Fremont Street. Tony Roma%26#39;s is inside the Fremont Casino, I don%26#39;t think anyone mentioned the location.
I second Vegas man%26#39;s suggestion of Main street station!
thanks for the help on where to eat downtown. I have one more question... Do you think reservations would be needed for Tony Romas or Hugos Cellar?
Hugo%26#39;s Cellar-yes make a reservation if it is Friday/Saturday-otherwise you should get in-they have a samll bar with great cheese and crackers while you wait.
Never made a reservation at Tony Roma%26#39;s. Usually have to wait for a table, especially if you want a booth, but it%26#39;s not too bad......20 minutes tops.
You can play the slots while you%26#39;re waiting.;-)
