I paid for the rooms for my bros bachelor party - about 3,000 at the MGM. There are 2-3 people in each room. I was wondering how comps would work in this situation?
How should I go about trying to get comped for anything? Does it depend on how much you spend for rooms, on my playing card? Can the people in each room get playing cards as well and have their card points combined at the end fo the weekend to get comped...just wondering?
Comp Question
Comps are usually earned for gamming not on reservations. Most hotles will give you 10% of what you spend in purchases on their property like Flamingo is doing. But I dont think you get comps for just getting rooms. Comps are usually used to encourage gaming so it basically given on your gaming not how much you spend on the room.
Comp Question
You should definitely join the players club for the MGM. Try to get a few cards under your account. Hand them out to those who seem/want to gamble the most and make sure they present this during table games or insert it in machines. That way the play gets rated and they are all going to one account. Try to eat in the hotel or hotels assocuated with MGM and charge things to you room. You might want to speak to a casino host or mention to the Reservation Desk when you check in that you are visiting for the week for your brother%26#39;s bachelor party. They might upgrade you or suggest some things to make your experience much better. When you check out or before you check out, check to see if you can talk to someone in VIP services/club card services. See if there are any comps they can apply for you for your current trip. Make sure you mention how much you enjoyed your stay and how it made the bachelor so much better...butter the staff up a bit..ya know. It doesn%26#39;t ever hurt to be nice to the staff/reservation host/VIP Customer rep..each and every day you are there. :)
I%26#39;m not sure how much you will get right then, but you will get mailers later on after you return home for specials for your next trip!
Thanks...sounds like a plan. They don%26#39;t mind if you get a few cards in your name?
I believe it%26#39;s one card per person. If you plan on travelling with these guys again it will work out for you (for example, my spouse and I both get offers)... we can use both. I don%26#39;t think you can have 20 cards in your name alone... they track what you, as an individual, are spending on gaming.
The rule is One person or Married Couple per card. Now, if you want all your buddies to apply any comps they earn towards the rooms, that can be done. Just have them get their own cards and when they are done playing talk to a host or VIP services and have the comps applied to their room. Any meals they have comped or charged to the rooms will deduct from the available comps, or add to your bill. Make sure they know to give their card EVERYTIME they play.
Make sure each rooms charges are made to a credit card of someone staying in that room. Not to yours.
kmeek - In addition to VM response - having your guest use comps they have earned against room charges - if you booked more than 5 rooms, you were probably provided a group rate. This rate is already a discounted rate and is not something you would be offered at the Front Desk and must be pre-arranged prior to arrival. If this is the case - you will not be able to use earned room comps against the group booking.
If less than 5 rooms - VM is correct in his response. As for the upgrade, if an upgrade is provided, only expect it to apply to one room. Because of that, consider who%26#39;s room you want upgraded. Usually for bachelor parties they will upgrade to a suite - this usually acts as the center point for the party - but also doubles as someones sleeping room - so who ever doesn%26#39;t mind having thier room as party central would be the best selection for the upgrade.
