Circus Circus

Is it true that Circus Circus is closing? What about the Stardust? We were told this by a cab driver last week.

Circus Circus

Stardust is slated for a rebuild - but it is suppose to remain the Stardust - as for a time line, you probably have sometime to still enjoy it.

As for CC - first I have heard, but wouldn%26#39;t be surprised if they demolished and rebuilt the CC Manor

Circus Circus

Nothing has beeb mentioned to us, the employees of the Stardust. Yet. The rumored name if they do rebuild is ';Borgata West'; based on how well the Borgata has done in Atlantic City. They are supposed to announce the plans in the next few months. With 63 acres to work with (Mirage and Treasure Island sit on 26 acres) The potential is endless.

Vegas Man- Have you considered taking your considerable talents to the Wynn?

VegasMan -

I didn%26#39;t realize you worked at the Stardust! We stayed at NY NY last weekend, but were wishing we had stayed at the Stardust. Our friends stayed there on some fabulous comps - limo to and from airport, free suite, free food and drinks all weekend. They sure do know how to treat there guests well. One question, on Thursday night we were at the Bacarat Lounge around 1:30 - I had my fill of drinks and gambling and was willing to PAY for a bottle or glass of water. I waited 35 minutes for the bartender to take my $2.50! Why is it so difficult to pay for a bottle of water in Vegas - it this normal, or just bad service? Our friend complained to the manager... One more thing, we%26#39;re planning a trip back in the fall - when is the best time to stay during the months of Sept, Oct and Nov? I%26#39;m also surprised you or VHM have not heard about Circus Circus....makes me think it%26#39;s just a rumour!

Tracy

VegasMan,

One more question - we had bad luck at one of the Stardust%26#39;s restaurants (I don%26#39;t recall the name.) What%26#39;s the best choice?

TK

Bump for VegasMan...thanks!

jimmy,

circus circus is good thing , so i can stay away from a lot of kids, wont stay there again

the only two that i know of that are most likely going down in next 2 years are boardwalk and wild wild west,

las vegas advisor is on top of all that news,

For information on closings try http://www.jetcafe.org/~npc/gambling/casino_death_watch.html

No mention of CC but they do mention Stardust, New Frontier, Binions horseshoe and a few others

Thanks for the link. I wonder what a new casino will do to the Stardust%26#39;s prices? Eventually there will be no place we can go on a budjet! I guess as the old get old, the new get old too.

Yeah the places away from the action will probably always be more of a budget type deal and there is always downtown. Don%26#39;t expect major strip properties to ever get cheap though.
