Trip to Laughlin

Shelly,

Laughlin is where my grandmother busses to from Lake Havasu AZ, she loves it.

I%26#39;ve been there once and I found out that Laughlin is where everybody%26#39;s grandmother goes.

Not knockin it. I prefer just LV.

But its free !

Trip to Laughlin

If you%26#39;re a gambler, you%26#39;ll love it. With the exception of Harrah%26#39;s, all the casino%26#39;s are within walking distance of each other. The Colorado River runs parallel to the casino%26#39;s, and depending on the time of year, it%26#39;s a nice walk. However, if you%26#39;re there in the summer, it can be extremely hot and uncomfortable.

I have been there. It is a quaint little gambling area on the river. It would be nice when it is hot enough to swim or rent the wave runners. There are only a few casinos and they are small and much older than most of Vegas except for Harrahs as I remember. My gambling experience there-the slots were very tight. Maybe it was just me. If I remember right it is about 1 1/2 hours from Vegas. I would not go again myself, but it depends on what you are looking for. Not trying to dissuade you, but that is my take on Laughlin.

I was there once and would not go back. The Colorado River was the only impressive thing to me.....beautiful.

Other than that, the casinos were old, small and slots were very tight.

The bathrooms were so small in one casino that I had trouble pushing my way through to wash my hands!!!! Not impressed and not worth the ride. IMHO

If you are a Vegas Regular - ie you have been there a many times, seen all the hotels and parts of town and are looking for something to do one day other than wald the strip/freemont etc., I thinkit is worth the time. It is a full day away from vegas - so plan accordingly. Colorado River is nice good photo op. but I would not leave Vegas for the casino%26#39;s in Laughlin!

When I go to Vegas I stay in Vegas - odds are you can get a whole seperate trip to Laughlin for a weekend - charter flight and hotel for a less than $200 from most major cities. I%26#39;m In Houston and the Laughlin Charters are $170 for 2nights with air and hotel. I%26#39;m Sure Buffalo NY is a little more expensive but you may want to look into that.

Have fun

I just got back from February, we were 2 days in vegas, and then staying in Needles (where my parents were wintering). We went to Laughlin on two occasions, and both times were very enjoyable. The first time we drove there (from Needles) we had tickets to the Oak Ridge Boys and then went to a Prime Rib supper and then gambling. The second time we went to the Friday night Seafood buffet at Flamingos. Both meals were excellent and we had fun gambling at thecasinos. We found them to be friendlier at the bj tables and have lower tables. We also found it not overwhelming and a lot easier on the feet for walking. It is very nice to walk along the rivers edge in front of the casinos too. There is a nice mall within walking distance from casinos too, we shopped too.

Certainly does not have all the glitz and glamour of vegas, but I still really enjoyed it, and will go back.

just returned from laughlin we chose to stay 3 nites in Vegasto catch a show found vegas hectic but enjoyed it Laughlin was great weather in the 80%26#39;s stayed in Harrahs they run a courtesy bus to laughlin strip and the Mall would not recommend Ramada express saw three comedians who were excellent but the service and food in the caboose was diabolical we left and cancelled the meal which was ovecooked but cold!!! did make a complaint ot food %26amp; beverage manager we were the 3rd party to leave that nite. Back to your question it is worht the trip relax and enjoy it

If you are already staying in LV, I wouldn%26#39;t waste my time going to Laughlin. It%26#39;s okay, but nothing special. You are better off spending some money and take a trip to the Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam, or something like that.

Other than a few hotel/ casinos near the river, that%26#39;s about it for Laughlin. Just my opinion.

I enjoyed Laughlin very much when I visited there. I absolultely love Vegas but Laughlin was a nice change of view. I thought the casinos are a little dated but the shopping was good. The most fasinating part to me is the fact that the area of Laughlin and the Colorado River is were Doc Holiday hung out all those years ago. I love the old west history, find it absolutley amazing so thats why I like Laughlin. Also has beautiful scenery.
