Speaking of taxi cabs...

I read somewhere on here where cabs have raised their rates due to the demand of folks coming in during this period. Is this true and if so, how can they get away with this? Regardless, I%26#39;m trying to gage whether I should just get a sedan, have them pick me up and pay a bit more, or wait for a cab with inflated rates...

Does anyone know if this is happening w/ the cabs?

Thanks

(We get in on Wed. if that matters)

Speaking of taxi cabs...

';Several taxicab companies service Las Vegas. The meter starts at $2.80 for the first 1/9 of a mile. Every mile after that costs $1.80. Due to high gas prices, the meter currently starts at $3.00 and every mile after that costs $1.80. Please read the posted rates in your taxi for the latest rates and idle time information.';
