We%26#39;re headed to the Stratosphere in May and were curious what the hotel was like. Has anyone stayed there?
Also we were interested in taking in the show they have there called %26#39;Bite%26#39; would be curious to see if anyone has seen it and if so what did you think?
Thanks for checking out the post.

Seeking Stratosphere experiences
We stayed there in Jan of 05 - enjoyed the hotel and casino. I would say that the rooms are in line with a Holiday Inn. Ask for the Premier Tower which is the newest tower. The rides at the top of the tower are awesome. We found the casino was relatively smoke free compared to some of the other casinos.
We did not see any of the shows there, but because we signed up for the slot club we got coupons for 2 free tickets. We are planning on staying there again in October.

OshKosh thanks!! I was worried since I%26#39;ve seen posts about the hotel that weren%26#39;t very favorable.
Although we%26#39;re not big gamblers the slot club may just be worth it for the tix!
I%26#39;ll keep that tower suggestion in mind. Have a great time in October! =)
I saw Bite in December. It was an average show. The music was mostly 80%26#39;s metal rock, so if that is not your type of music, you may be disapointed.
Don%26#39;t pay full price for tickets. At worst, you can get them half off at the Giant Coke bottle next to MGM.
MJ: Thanks for the tip about the Half Price tix place. I totally forgot about that place. We%26#39;ll be sure to check that out...
Are there other shows that you might%26#39;ve liked better around the same price? Just curious.
We didnt get the free show tickets until a couple of weeks after we got back, but if you are going to be going back you could use them at that time. If you are going to gamble at all, you should get the cards, and whatever they give you in comps %26amp; cash back is a bonus.
If you go not expecting the Bellagio, you should be happy. Make sure you hit the Big Shot on top of the tower, I wouldnt recommend the roller coaster, as all it does is go in circles on top of the tower.
Oh ok... at least it would give us something to look forward to.. thanks for the clarification...
Nah I never expect the Bellagio. Too rich for my blood. I personally love the Riv, Luxor and Excalibur =) I%26#39;m also a big fan of Sams Town.
1st time at the Stratosphere.
I enjoyed my stay at the Stratosphere and had a nice room, but keep in mind that you are at the other end of the strip from where all the action is. It is a LONG walk from the Strat to another casino, I like to walk, but I wouldn%26#39;t do it, especially at night. If you have a car, it will be easy to get to the downtown area and for the other end of the strip, use valet parking at one of the casino%26#39;s like Caesars or Treasure Island and walk to the other casino%26#39;s from there. Parking is a nightmare and parking in a garage will mean a 20 minute walk just to get to the casino%26#39;s door!
I have learned harsh lessons about parking in the garages and walking.
I think we%26#39;re going to take more advantage of the valets. tipping them is so worth the convenience!
Thanks!
