Re: Orleans hotel pool

I have read in last year%26#39;s Tripadvisor review on this hotel that it is great but the sun is rarely on the pool area during the day. I am planning a trip in April and don%26#39;t want a shady pool. Has anyone been there that could comment on this? Thanks

Re: Orleans hotel pool

From NYPDRET%26#39;s post. ';For the most part the pool is in the shade but there was an area with chairs that had more than enough sun for me.';

As the year progresses and the sun gets higher in the sky the pool will have less shady hours.

Re: Orleans hotel pool

I had a room overlooking the pool and for the most part the whole pool was in the shade. There were lounges and chairs that you could move to the sun. It might be different as the summer months come, but I doubt it.

Appreciate the response- Thanks

We stayed the last two years at the Orleans at the end of May and the sun progresses over the pool during the day. By around 10:30-11:00 AM over half of the seats and the majority of the pool were in full sun. This worked out well for us since we are not early risers when in Las Vegas. And with the temps over 100 degrees the pool was great. We really enjoyed our stay at the Orleans and hit the pool area every day, our only complaint was how early it closes (around 7:00 PM if I recall correctly). Enjoy your vacation, we%26#39;ll be back out in the end of April!

I was there 3/1-4 and sat by the pool every afternoon - from about noon on there is enough sun by the kiddie pool and the very large jacuzzi to enjoy. But the pool is not heated and there sure weren%26#39;t any people swimming in it! But the jacuzzi was great if you needed a water fix.
