What better place to spend my 21st B-day rather then Vegas. Ive been there twicw but when I was under the age of 21. I turn 21 June 13 and my brother is flying from Atlanta and I am flying from Pittsburgh. I am totoaly excited and plan on drinking as much and playing as much poker as possible. We got a nice rate of 55 a night at the Tropicana...we coulda stayed somewhere nice but I plan on being out of the room 22 hours out of the day. For those of you who stayed at the Trop I was wondering what you thought about the pool...I heard it was pretty nice! Also what machines did you enjoy the best and what did you find the loosest ones to be. As well, which restruants did you prefer when you stay there...we are staying in the ISLAND TOWER ROOMS...if anyone stayed in any room actually tell me what you thought. Also I read on this site that many people have asked for free upgrades and actually got them..do you think I shuold do the same...please help me out and wish me luck!!! Also,,,before I forget...where can I fidn the cheapest food and drinks in all of Vegas on and off the strip including downtown....thanks for the help!!! You can write me back as well at MDM4SFEST@AOL.COM!!!!!

I have stayed at the Trop many times, I always pay the garden room rate, but I request the Tower room, They try to make me pay more $$, I always put my foot down and tell them NO MORE $$ - just upgrade me. Asst manager comes over and smiles, says no upgrade, I say YEAH RIGHT, I ain%26#39;t coming back ever again, SUDDENLY MIRACULOUSLY - I get upgraded and save $$ - I am sick of playing this game, but i am never staying in those old garden rooms in the back of the parking lot.
Ask for the HIGHEST FLOOR of the Island tower, these rooms are jacuzzi suites. Refuse to give them any additional $$$ and they will give in and give you what you want - be stubborn and courteous at the same time
The island tower is REALLY inconvient, it all the way at the back of the hotel, it accessible only through ONE set of escalators, the geniuses in charge of maintenance decide to work on these escalators at 9am in the morning, making a huge back up thru ONE elevator, its a nightmare. There is a ground floor employee access that i have learned to use
