Might be staying at Mirage in the month of August for anniversary
Question: Could someone please tell me what rooms are the
best at the Mirage that give the best views?
Are the windows from floor to ceiling??
Thank You!
Best Room With A View At Mirage Hotel ???
Hi, I%26#39;ve not stayed at the Mirage but am planning to later this spring and I%26#39;ve asked this same question and got some replies that may be useful to you.
The only windows that are floor to ceiling are the upper 7 or 8 floors (don%26#39;t quote me on the exact number of floors, but they only have floor-to-ceiling windows on the upper floors). On the lower floors the windows start at about waist level, I%26#39;ve heard. According to what I%26#39;ve heard many people say, the ';pool view'; rooms actually afford the best overall view of the strip, looking south. However, from these pool view rooms at Mirage, the new Augustus Tower at Caesar%26#39;s Palace now blocks everything that sits on the west side of the strip south of it, whereas previously you could see all the way down to Mandalay Bay. However, you can still see the east side of the Strip including the Eiffel Tower and all the way down to MGM from most pool view rooms. However, the new CP tower will cut off the Bellagio fountains and everything else on that side of the street.
The Volcano View rooms face the strip and afford views that have a slightly less expansive view of the strip, though you get good views of the hotels in the near vicinity (Venetian, Harrah%26#39;s, Flamingo, IP, TI, Casino Royale, and perhaps most welcome, a good view of the new Wynn), But from most volcano view rooms (the exception may be the very northern section of an upper floor) you don%26#39;t get the sweeping view south that you get from the pool view rooms. And that sweeping view south with all the strip hotels lined up like Christmas tree lights is arguably the most desirable view.
The mountain view rooms are just that, plus the freeway.
Hope this helps. And anybody else feel free to set me straight or offer opinions. I%26#39;m interested in this as well.
Best Room With A View At Mirage Hotel ???
I%26#39;m wondering if those much desirable floor to ceiling windows I%26#39;ve seen on their wesbite are only in really high end suites or if could be obtained as part of any comlpimetary upgrade you may be fortunate to smile sweetly enough for?!
And I posted practically the same question on another forum and got many of the same replies. i am doubtful about the pool views with the new caesars development though.
I too am staying in August!
I just stayed at the MIrage earlier this month on the 18th floor in a volcano view room. Here is a link to pictures I took from our room. We were on the North end of the building ,looking south down the strip. You can also see the type of windows are different on the higher few floors of the hotel.
Here%26#39;s the link share.shutterfly.com/action/share/view…
Hope this helps, Debbie
Thanks debbie!
Were you staying in one of these rooms with the long windows then? Were you in a suite?
Hope you had a great time!
Debbie, great idea for shaing the pics.
Christy, I put together an album of my Mirage pics. We were on the 14th floor, pool view. The window was floor to celing (but needed to be cleaned). I included a pic from inside the room so you can see the window.
Hope it helps!

flbd No, just staying in a regular room, not a suite. It had the windows starting at halfway up the wall, about waist high.
We had a BALL!! It was our first trip and we can%26#39;t wait to go back again!
Debbie
Hi there. Just got back from Vegas on the red eye this morning and we stayed at the Mirage. First, really nice place. I too was getting tired of people knocking things like carpets, sheets etc. We were in a tower deluxe room on the 24th floor with a vocano view facing the new Wynn and Treasure Island and the Venetian. The Wynn is gorgeous but took away any real mountain view there used to be. Bathrooms in the tower deluxe rooms are beautiful with separate shower/jacuzzi tub. Also note that the rooms on this and the 25th floor in the 100%26#39;s and 90%26#39;s are slightly bigger than the others. They would also have the same view on one side, mountain and highway view on the other. I was sorry I didn%26#39;t get the strip view, but wasn%26#39;t worth switching rooms and was very happy. We were able to watch all the helicopters fly by taking folks to and from Nascar. I also liked that we had our own elevator bank with suite floors A thru E - a nice touch. Room was very nicely appointed, turned down with chocolates every nite. Great bath ';stuff';.
The pool view is probably the best, but if you can%26#39;t get that, our view wasn%26#39;t bad. I don%26#39;t think I%26#39;d want the highway/mountain view, but honestly you%26#39;re not in the room all that much. Our windows started halfway up, and the view was still great. And when you%26#39;re out on the street you can look up and see the spectacle anyway.
I can%26#39;t wait to go back - the Mirage was really great.
Me again - just got a chance to check out Debbie%26#39;s pix. We were in the tower in her picture #6, on the 24th floor. So we didn%26#39;t have the strip views she did. But gives you an idea of what to expect. Really nice hotel regardless.
Thank You everyone for your help!!
