Does anyone know or remember which side of the plane to sit on coming in to Vegas in which to see the strip????Also which side going home???
Thanks!!!! Annie
Which side of Plane??
Depends, coming from east or west coast?
Which side of Plane??
OH SORRY....East coast!!!
Didnt even think of that . DUHHH%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;LOL
Thanks!
It depends on more than East or West, it depends on the actual flight. Two planes from CT would not always land like they came in from the East.
I think it%26#39;s gonna vary depending upon wind conditions. For example, with westerly winds planes will takeoff/land going east-to-west to get maximum lift. Also the best view could be affected by your plane%26#39;s approach pattern.

That is a tough question because it really depends on so many things. All runways can be approached from either end depending on prevailing winds at the time. So like Vegas itself its a gamble. Your coming from Ct I guess so you%26#39;ll probably take the northern route (you actually loop north possibly into Canada). If you check your airline route map it should tell you.
Northern route would make the right side better and vice versa. But this is no guarantee. Air traffic, weather, etc all affect your approach.
Matt
Doesn%26#39;t it also depend on what the air traffic pattern is also, no matter which direction you are coming from (east or west?)? Don%26#39;t they change the patterns depending on the winds, etc.?
I remember at one intersection by the airport, while sitting at a light, we have had a plane landing, then later that afternoon, at the same light and intersection, had a plane taking off over us. So does it really matter what side to sit on?
Sorry my post took so long to write (am at work), that you have already addressed what I wrote! Sorry for the same post!
OOPS
I said right when I meant left. Good thing my instructor isnt here.
If you do not have assigned seating, perhaps you could ask the flight attendant as you board the plane.
i travel from cleveland, approx 30 times to vegas.
sit on the right side. looking forward towards the
cockpit.............
