Family traveling to Vegas

Advice needed for our family traveling to Vegas. We are staying Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Fri/Sat are pricing high.

Would like recommendations on where to stay...on or within walking distance of the strip..good pool. Hesitant to stay up near Stratosphere or Sahara. Orleans looks good except for the reviews of the pool being shadey and cool. We are going first weekend in April. Thanks!

Family traveling to Vegas

We always stay at Excalibur on the south end of the strip. It is family friendly and great rates - I usually go to their website to book. Unfortunately all of the hotels seem to have the highest rates on Fri %26amp; Sat. The pool is nice and located at Tower II, it%26#39;s also easier to find parking at that tower if you rent a car.

Family traveling to Vegas

As you surmise, weekend rates are higher-because that%26#39;s when the majority of turistas show up. Excalibur or maybe Luxor are your best bets. Off strip, you MIGHT consider Terrible Herbst%26#39;s casino, or Main Street Station (a ';locals'; spot). IIRC, other hotels off strip aren%26#39;t much cheaper than these..
