Night life for 40 something females

Some friends and I are going to Vegas in mid May (40 something females) and we would like to enjoy the night life. We know that the Hard Rock and Palms are popular for the younger group. We have all been to Vegas before, but haven%26#39;t really found a club for our age group. Any suggestions.

Donna,

There are no clubs for people your (Mine too) age group. We have lounges, no cover charge, smaller dance floors, easy to get a drink, very few fights and you can leave and come back as many times as you want. I think we get a better deal.

From a couple of previous visits last year, here%26#39;s what I remember. It was a Thursday night, RA at the Luxor turned out to be great. Did not expect it, but the age group, although not all over 40, was mixed, music not hip hop, lots of fun.

Monday night, started off at Red Square for a Martini, older crowd, and followed up by Rum Jungle, good mix.

Any night at Voodoo lounge, worth going to, view great.

Will agree with Vegasman. Try Caramel, Teatro at MGM etc.... Stay away from Light, Pure etc. :)

How about Studio 54. they play disco 70%26#39;s hits. You might want to check it out on the MGM Grand website.

Donna, actually there is a club for our age group if you do not mind leaving the strip. It is a place on Industrial (next major N-S street west of LV Blvd) just south of Flamingo called ';Tommy Rockers'; On weekend nights there is a great in house band that plays a lot of classic rock, blues, and Jimmy Buffet stuff. They have very good food, large dance floor, and gambling. Best of all no waiting in line, and no cover charge. You will find a mix of locals and veteran tourist, great place to shake a leg.

As far as clubs on the strip, happy hunting, all taylored for 20-somethings IMHO, except for HOB @ Mandalay Bay. There are some decent lounges like Cleopatras @ CP, Fontanna @ B (very expensive), and my favorite Quarks @ LV Hilton.. Some other places off the beaten path are the lounges at Orleans and Suncoast, they have some good bands playing that taylor to mature crowds. Also search around on www.vegas.com for these three names Bruce Conte, Love Shack, and Smith Brothers Band to see where they might be playing.

HomeBoy,

They must have remodeled, I live on the SE side and have not been in TRs for 3 years, at least. Back then the dance floor was smaller than my living room. It is a lot of fun. Do they still have the pool tables? Or is that where the bigger dance floor came from?

The brew pub at the Monte Carlo usually has a good live band on the weekends. We%26#39;ve enjoyed the music and had some good beer and food there too.

Fontana lounge at Bellagio: age group 30%26#39;s to 50%26#39;s Two excellent bands, No cover, decent size dance floor, great view of B fountains.

Ava lounge at Mirage often has a very good band alled Isis.

Cat Daddy at Ballys is very good also but lounge is small.

house of blues at mandalay bay has flashback fridays and boogie nights on satrudays. It attracts the pepsi generation. Starts about 11.

Thanks to everyone for their responses, it sounds like there are quite a few places to go. Can anyone tell me where Rum Jungle and the Voodoo Lounge are?
